DAR-22TX Threaded Receiver / Barrel Combo

This is it. The DAR-22TX Threaded receiver / barrel combo. By utilizing both a threaded barrel and a threaded barrel nut we have done away with the need for a dreaded V-Block, making this the first truly, free floated 10-22 type target rifle.

We start by making the receiver in small run batches, from solid bricks of 7075-T6 aluminum. These are hand finished and then sent for a Mil-spec, Type 3, hard anodize coating. The barrels start as Green Mountain .22 lr blanks which are cut and turned to each customers desired length and barrel profile. They are then turned and threaded to match the receiver perfectly. Next, we chamber them to either our Sporter or Target profile, your choice, finishing the job by hand to ensure that each one meets the customer’s exact expectations. Then comes the marriage of the receiver and barrel, taking care to note that all tolerances and dimensions are correct.
And that’s it, the making of the best 10-22 you will ever own.
Because of the design, using a barrel nut to mate the barrel to the receiver, you cannot just drop them into any stock. The stocks will need to be inlet-ted slightly at the front in order to accommodate the barrel nut. As well, if you would like to use the optional rear hold down lug (included with the combo) it will also need to be machine fitted into the stock.

Due to the nature of customization of these combos we will only accept orders over the phone or in person. Threaded Combo in the picture is a custom 14″ barrel, with optional stepping and fluting. Our XB-5 compensator is fitted to the muzzle.
